UNAKKA CHEMMEEN CHAMMANTHI ( Dry Shrimp chutney)

Ingredients : 

Dry shrimps, cleaned  - 1 cup
Coconut scraped        - 1 cup
Dry Red chillies          - 5-6 
Ginger                       -  A small piece
Shallots ( small onions) - 2
Tamarind                     - A small piece
Salt                             - As per taste

Method :
        


  •  Wash the shrimps in water and drain.
  • Dry roast them in a small wok in a low flame.
  • Add all the other ingredients except salt and fry slightly for a few minutes. Cool it.
  • Grind the roasted mix coarsely with salt. Remove into a dish and serve.
 Note -: Unakka chemmeen chammanthi is best served with rice.
