Ingredients
Rice 250 gm
Potato cubed 1 medium
Cauliflower separated into florets 1/2 medium
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
Bay leaf 1-2
Cinnamon 1"
Black cardamom 2
Cloves 4-5
Onion thin sliced 1 large
Green Peas shelled 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Garam Masala powder 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Method
- Soak Rice in three cups of water for 15-20 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
- Heat oil in vessel, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, black cardamom, and cloves. When they change colour add onion saute till light brown.
- Add potato, cauliflower and green peas and saute on medium heat for two to three minutes.
- Add rice, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt along with three to four cup of hot water. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 - 20 minutes or till rice done.
