For Puttu Ingredients
Coarse Rice Flour 1 cup
Grated coconut 1 cup
Water as required
Salt as per taste
Method
- Add water and salt to the flour, mix well so that there are no lumps.
- Fill the mixture in puttu maker. First make a layer of grated coconut the flour. Make a alternative layer of this.
- Steamed till it cooked.
For Kadala Curry Ingredients
Black Bengal gram 1/2 Kg
Oil
Grated coconut 1
Garlic 8-10 cloves
Small onion( Shallots) 10-12
Mustard seeds 1 1/2 tsp
Whole Red chilli 3-4
Sliced Onion 2
Whole Coriander 20 gm
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Cuury leaves
Garam masala 2tsp
salt as per taste
Method
1. Boil black channa in salt.
2.Sauté grated coconut, shallots, red chillies, coriander, curry leaves and garlic in a little coconut oil till golden brown.
3.After that grind them together to a coarse paste.
4.Sauté the mustard seeds, sliced onions, coriander powder, chilli powder, and garam masala powder.
5.Add the garam masala to this and fry well.
6.Add water and the boiled channa. Cook well.
7.Add a little salt and serve hot.
