Ingredients
Fish 250 gm
Tamarind - small boll in hot water
Onion sliced - 1
Tomato sliced -1
Curry leaves
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Methi powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Ginger chopped 1/2"
Garlic 4 cloves
salt
Mustard seeds -1tsp
Whole Methi- a pinch
Method
Fish 250 gm

Method
- Clean the fish drain and keep aside.
- Mix together red chilli powder, methi powder, salt and turmeric powder to make a paste.
- Heat oil add mustard seeds and whole methi after splutter add onion saute till transparent then add ginger, chopped garlic, chopped tomato, curry leaves and above paste and fry till the oil separates.
- Add tamarind extract and check the level of sourness.
- When the water start boiling add the fish.
- Add enough water in it and cover the lid.
- cook on low flame till thick gravy.
