METHI - PYAZ PAKORAS

Ingredients 

1 cup besan (Gram flour)
2 tsp oil
3/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp ajwain ( Carom seeds)
Salt as per taste
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 small onion (Sliced finely)
4 tbsp kasoori methi

Method
 

  • Mix besan, oil, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, ajwain, lemon juice and salt with enough water to make a thick batter. Beat well till the mixture is smooth.
  • Add baking powder. Beat well to make the batter light.
  • Add kasoori methi and onion. Mix well.
  • Drop spoon full of in hot oil. deep fry pakoras to a light golden colour and crisp. 
  • Serve with khati mithi chutney http://baawarchikhana.blogspot.in/2013/08/khatti-meethi-chutney.html or tomato sauce.
