MISSI ROTI

Ingredients :

1 cup besan (gram flour)
1 cup atta ( wheat flour)
2 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp kasoori methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
Salt as per taste
1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
A pinch of hing ( asafoetida)
1/4 tsp haldi (turmeric powder)

Method :
   

  • Mix all ingredients. Add enough water to make a dough . Cover it and keep aside for 1/2 hour.
  • Make 6 balls. Roll each ball into a chapati, but thicker than the usual chapati.
  • Cook on a hot tawa by frying it.
  • When made in tandoor , apply ghee and serve immediately.
